SeatGeek Nevada Ticket Fees: How the Payment Is Calculated

The proposed $7,750,000 settlement covers people who bought electronic tickets to events in Nevada through SeatGeek's website or mobile app between November 7, 2020 and May 12, 2025 and were charged fees. Each class member's payment is a pro rata share of the fund, calculated from the total fees SeatGeek retained from that person's purchase, and a Claim Form must be submitted online or postmarked by January 5, 2027. Exclusions are due December 6, 2026, the final approval hearing is January 12, 2027, and the court has not yet given final approval.

Questions & Answers

Do I need receipts or other documents with my claim?

The notice requires a timely, complete Claim Form, but it does not say whether you must submit receipts, ticket records, or other documents with the form. It therefore does not specify a document requirement for payment.

Why is my payment amount not known?

No payment amount is guaranteed or stated as a fixed amount. Your share is based on the fees SeatGeek retained from your purchase and is paid from the settlement fund.

The $7.75 million fund also pays settlement administration and notice costs, court-approved lawyers’ fees and litigation costs, and any award to the class representative. Those costs can affect what remains for class-member payments.

When and how would an approved claim be paid?

If the Court approves the settlement and the Settlement Administrator approves your claim, the notice says payment will be made 90 days after approval. You can choose one of the payment methods listed below. A check becomes void 180 days after it is issued.

  • Check
  • PayPal
  • Venmo
  • Zelle

What happens if I do nothing?

If you remain in the settlement and do not exclude yourself, you give up the right to sue SeatGeek and certain related parties over the claims resolved by this settlement, even if you do not claim a payment. The detailed list of released claims is in the Settlement Agreement.

Who is excluded from the settlement class?

You are not included if you are the judge or magistrate in this case or a family member; SeatGeek or certain related organizations and their current or former personnel; Class Counsel; or a listed representative, successor, or assign of an excluded person. A person who timely and validly excludes themselves is also excluded.

What must I do to exclude myself, and what does that mean?

To leave the settlement, send or deliver a written exclusion request to the Settlement Administrator. It must be postmarked no later than December 6, 2026. If you exclude yourself, you cannot receive a payment from the settlement fund, but you keep any rights you otherwise have to sue SeatGeek about the claims in this case.

  • Your name and address.
  • A statement that you bought electronic tickets to Nevada events through SeatGeek’s Website during the stated period and were charged fees.
  • Your signature, the case name and number, and a statement that you want to be excluded.

How do I object or ask to speak at the final approval hearing?

You may object only if you stay in the settlement class. Send a written objection to the Court and mail a copy to both Class Counsel and SeatGeek’s Counsel by December 6, 2026. The objection must explain your reasons and include the information and materials the notice requires.

To speak at the hearing, include a Notice of Intent to Appear in your written objection and meet the same filing and mailing deadline.
