Questions & Answers

Who is included in the settlement?

The settlement class generally covers natural persons in the United States who used a GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024. The notice excludes the defendants and certain related people or companies, people who opt out, Meta, Google, and the judges and clerks involved in the case.

Being in the class does not by itself result in a payment. A class member must remain in the settlement and submit a timely, valid claim.

What payment could an approved claimant receive?

GoodRx and Criteo agreed to provide a $32 million settlement fund. If the settlement receives final approval, approved claimants will split the money remaining after court-approved costs and awards are paid.

There is no fixed payment amount. Each approved claimant’s share will depend on how many claims are approved.

Do I need documents to make a claim?

The notice does not say that every claimant must submit particular supporting documents. It says the claim form must provide enough information for the Settlement Administrator to confirm class membership and approve the claim.

If the administrator finds a problem with a claim, it will send written notice. The claimant then has 20 days from that notice to correct the problem.

How and when do I submit a claim?

To seek a payment, submit a claim online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 29, 2026, or mail it with a December 29, 2026 postmark. The mailed claim goes to GoodRx Data Disclosure Settlement, c/o A.B. Data, Ltd., P.O. Box 173138, Milwaukee, WI 53217.

If you submit online, the system will display a printable confirmation that it received the claim.

What happens if I do nothing?

If you take no action, you will not receive a settlement payment. If you fit the class description and do not opt out, you will still be bound by the settlement if it is approved, including its release of certain claims against GoodRx and Criteo.

What does opting out mean, and what is required?

Opting out means leaving the settlement. A person who validly opts out cannot receive settlement money, but will not be bound by the settlement and may pursue their own claim against GoodRx or Criteo about the matters resolved here.

An exclusion request must be in writing, signed, and sent by U.S. Mail or another delivery service with a December 29, 2026 postmark. The notice lists required identifying information, including information from the short-form notice.

Can I object to the settlement?

A class member who stays in the settlement may object to the settlement, the requested attorneys’ fees and expenses, or service awards. The objection must be written and filed with the court by December 29, 2026; phone calls and emails do not count as objections.

The notice requires the objection to include identifying information, a signature, proof or an attestation of class membership, the reasons for the objection, and any supporting documents the person wants the court to consider. Court filings are publicly available, so the notice says not to include medical records or other sensitive private information.

When might payments be sent?

The court is scheduled to consider final approval on February 11, 2027, at 11:00 a.m. The notice says an appeal could follow if approval is granted, and that the appellate process can sometimes take a year or longer. It does not give a payment date.
