Apple has agreed to a proposed $250 million settlement over claims that buyers of certain iPhones expected Siri Apple Intelligence features that they did not receive. Apple denies wrongdoing. Eligible purchasers must submit a valid claim by December 21, 2026 to seek payment.
Who may qualify
The settlement covers U.S. residents who bought an eligible iPhone in the United States for a purpose other than resale between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025. The models are iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. A claimant must also confirm that they expected certain Siri Apple Intelligence features at purchase and did not receive them.
Payment for valid claims
The notice says a valid claim pays $25 for each eligible device. That figure may be adjusted up or down after claims are counted, but the payment cannot exceed $95 per device. The final amount also depends on court-approved deductions for administration, lawyer fees, litigation costs and service awards.
The claim form asks for contact information, confirmation of the qualifying purchase and expected features, and information sufficient to confirm purchase or ownership. The notice does not identify a specific receipt, invoice or other supporting document that every claimant must upload.
Claimants may choose a physical check or a digital check. Payments cannot be sent until the court approves the settlement and any appeals are resolved.
Deadline and legal options
The deadline to submit a claim, opt out or object is December 21, 2026. Opting out means leaving the settlement: the person receives no payment but keeps any right to pursue a separate case about the covered claims. A class member who stays in the settlement may object, but cannot ask the court to create a larger settlement.
