People who accessed CVS digital properties in the United States before July 27, 2026 may be covered by a proposed privacy settlement. The official notice says the class includes living individuals who meet that access requirement. It does not say that a purchase is required.
Two cash options
Eligible class members may choose one of two payment options:
- Up to $5 with a valid claim form and no documentation.
- Up to $10 with a valid claim form and valid proof of membership in the settlement class.
The two amounts are alternatives, not payments that can be combined. The notice does not identify which documents qualify as membership proof for the $10 option. It also warns that payments may be reduced proportionately depending on the number of valid claims.
How and when to file
Claims may be submitted online through the official settlement website or by mailing a downloaded claim form to the settlement administrator. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on November 16, 2026. The notice lists PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and check as payment methods.
The case concerns allegations that CVS Pharmacy and Criteo disclosed health or private information, browsing data, identifiers or other information from CVS digital properties through embedded technology. The defendants deny violating the law, and the court has not decided who is right.
The final approval hearing is scheduled for December 1, 2026. A hearing is not a payment date. According to the notice, qualifying payments would be sent 120 days after final approval and/or completion of any appeals. People who do nothing will not receive a payment and, unless they exclude themselves, will release the claims covered by the settlement. The deadline to opt out or object is November 1, 2026.
Readers should review the official notice and settlement website for the complete requirements before choosing an option or submitting a claim.
