Rolling Stone Lifetime Subscription Settlement

This proposed settlement concerns U.S. residents who bought a Rolling Stone Magazine “lifetime” subscription and later received a digital edition instead of print. Eligible members can request print delivery and two years of RollingStone.com access at no cost. Members already receiving print will continue receiving it and can request the website access. The Court still must decide whether to approve the settlement.

Who is included in this settlement?

Receiving a postcard or email may indicate that you are included, but the notice gives the class definition above. If you are unsure, it directs you to call 800-552-3632 or email [email protected].

  • You must be living in the United States and must previously have bought a Rolling Stone Magazine subscription described as “lifetime.”
  • The class does not include PMC and its current officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries, or affiliates; the judges assigned to the case and their immediate families; or the lawyers for the parties in this case.

What benefits does the settlement offer?

These are not cash payments. The settlement does not state a total settlement fund or a cash award amount.

  • Print magazine delivery may continue for as long as printed editions are published during the subscriber’s lifetime.
  • The notice also offers two years of free access to RollingStone.com. That website access is available only while the subscriber continues to live in the United States.

How do I request benefits, and do I need documents?

To opt in, the notice says to provide your name, mailing address, and email address. It does not say that you must submit receipts, subscription records, or other supporting documents. The notice lists no deadline to submit a claim.

  • Email [email protected].
  • Call 800-552-3632.
  • Respond through the online portal at www.Krivin-rs.com.

What if I already receive the print magazine?

The notice applies this rule to a class member who previously requested print and is currently receiving it. It does not give a separate start-date estimate for print delivery that is already continuing.

  • You will continue receiving the print edition.
  • You may also claim the two years of free RollingStone.com access.

When should requested benefits begin?

These timing statements depend on approval of the claim submission. The settlement itself also still needs court approval.

  • For a claim for print editions, regular delivery is expected to start within six to twelve weeks after PMC receives an approved claim submission.
  • For the two-year website subscription, access is expected within 14 days after PMC receives an approved claim submission.

How do I opt out, and what does that change?

Opting out means leaving the settlement. You cannot receive settlement benefits if you opt out, but it is the option that preserves your ability to sue PMC separately over the claims resolved here.

  • Mail a signed Opt-Out Request to Defense Counsel, DTO Law, William A. Delgado, 915 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1950, Los Angeles, CA 90017.
  • It must be postmarked by June 26, 2026.
  • Include your full name, current address, email address, telephone number, and a statement requesting exclusion from the Settlement Class.

Can I object to the settlement?

You may still claim benefits if you object. The notice provides detailed filing and service instructions, including the attorneys’ addresses and email addresses, in Question 16.

  • You must remain in the settlement class; a person who opts out cannot object.
  • File a written objection with the Court and mail and email a copy to both Class Counsel and Defense Counsel by July 11, 2026.
  • The objection needs the required contact information, grounds and any support for the objection, relevant papers, a statement about whether you plan to appear at the hearing, and a signature.

When is the court hearing, and must I attend?

At the hearing, the Court will consider whether the settlement is fair and whether to grant final approval. The Court will also consider the requested attorneys’ fees, costs, and service awards.

  • The hearing is scheduled for August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
  • It is scheduled at the United States District Court for the Central District of California, First Street Courthouse, 350 West First Street, Courtroom 7B, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
  • You do not have to attend. The hearing date, time, location, or format may change.

What happens if I do nothing?

Doing nothing does not opt you out. The notice says there will be no further notices about approval, though case updates will be available on the settlement website.

  • You will not receive settlement benefits.
  • If the Court approves the settlement, you will be bound by it and release the claims described in the Settlement Agreement.
  • You will also give up the right to sue, continue to sue, or join another lawsuit against PMC concerning the legal claims resolved by the settlement.

What payments do the lawyers and class representatives plan to request?

The notice says the fee request will be posted on the settlement website after it is filed with the Court.

  • Class Counsel plans to ask the Court for attorneys’ fees, expenses, and costs up to $525,000.
  • The Class Representatives plan to seek up to $2,500 each and printed back issues of Rolling Stone Magazine.
  • The Court will decide these requests.
