Covenant Transport Washington Job Applicant Settlement

The overall fund will be between $288,125 and $412,500. The notice does not say what determines the final total. Legal fees, expenses and awards to the people who filed the case reduce the amount available for claims.

The settlement covers online applications for Covenant Transport team driver jobs in Washington from January 1, 2023 through June 17, 2024. Being hired is not listed as a requirement. You need an approved claim to receive money, and anyone who leaves the settlement cannot be paid through it.

The notice estimates $920.91 to $5,000 per person. Approved claimants split the remaining fund equally, so this is an estimate rather than a promised amount. Check the form mailed with your notice for your estimate.

The deadline is November 9, 2026. File online with the ID and passcode from your notice, email a completed form to [email protected], or mail it to Pierre v. Covenant Transport, Inc., c/o CPT Group, Inc., PO Box 19504, Irvine, CA 92623. A mailed form needs a postmark by the deadline.

The official claim form asks for your name, address, phone number, email address and Social Security number for tax reporting. Sign and date the declaration that your information is true and that you qualify. The administrator may ask for additional information. If you need your online credentials, contact CPT Group at 1-888-716-0932 or the claim email.

Checks can be mailed only after final approval and after any appeals or other reviews finish. No mailing date is promised. Cash your check promptly: it expires 121 days after it is issued. Keep your mailing address current with CPT Group.

The settlement treats the payment as non-wage income and reports it on Form 1099-MISC. The claim form requests a Social Security number for that reporting.

Mail an individual exclusion letter to the settlement administrator, postmarked by November 9, 2026. Include your full name, address and a clear request to leave. You or your lawyer must sign and date it. Phone calls, email requests and group requests do not count. See notice Question 15 for the complete instructions.

Leaving means giving up this settlement payment. You keep the ability to pursue the claims that the settlement would otherwise resolve.

You can object while staying in the settlement; someone who leaves cannot object. File your written objection with the King County Superior Court clerk by November 9, 2026, or have your lawyer file it electronically. Mail copies and supporting papers to both sides’ lawyers with a postmark no later than that date.

Notice Question 18 lists the required identifying information, reasons, signature and hearing-attendance statement, along with the court and lawyers’ addresses. Follow that full checklist when preparing an objection.

You will not receive money. If the court approves the settlement, you will still give up the ability to pursue the claims covered by its release unless you properly leave. That release concerns the job-posting claims and claims based on the same or substantially similar facts; it does not cover every possible dispute with Covenant. Notice Question 12 describes its scope.

The hearing is scheduled for February 19, 2027 at 8:30 a.m. at King County Superior Court, 516 Third Avenue, Room C-203, Seattle, WA 98104. You do not have to attend to claim a payment. If you stay in the settlement, you may ask for permission to speak; see notice Question 22. The court may change the schedule.

The notice says Covenant will not retaliate over your decision to take part, stay out or object. It also says your choice will not affect your job application or how Covenant treats you as a prospective, current or former employee.
