Claims open Deadline: January 14, 2027

Who qualifies?

U.S. residents whose personal information was affected by the July 2024 Blue Ridge Rural Water data incident, including people who received a breach notice.

How much could I receive?

Choose a $50 cash payment OR reimbursement of up to $2,500 in extraordinary losses plus up to $500 in ordinary expenses. You may also claim two years of three-bureau credit monitoring. Loss reimbursements require qualifying, unreimbursed expenses.

Do I need supporting documents?

The $50 alternative payment requires no proof documents or explanation. Loss claims require records such as receipts or bank statements connecting the expenses to the incident; your own notes alone are not enough.

Do I need a notice ID or PIN?

The online form requires the login ID and PIN from your notice. The saved materials do not establish whether a paper claim can be filed without them; call 833-296-0947 for help.

What is the deadline?

January 14, 2027. Submit online by that date, or have your completed, signed paper claim and any supporting documents postmarked by that date.

How do I claim?

File online or mail a completed claim, choose either the $50 payment or loss reimbursement, and elect credit monitoring if wanted. Attach supporting records if claiming losses.
