$2.5M ABC Legal Services Data Breach Settlement
ABC Legal Services agreed to a $2.5 million settlement over an August 2024 data security incident and allegations including negligence, privacy violations and consumer-protection claims. ABC denies the allegations and any wrongdoing or liability.
Benefit Summary
Eligible claimants may receive an estimated $50 pro-rata cash payment without documentation, adjustable up to $450; up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses in addition to that cash payment; and two years of one-bureau credit monitoring. All benefits require a valid timely claim and may change with approved-claim volume.

Who Is Included
People identified on the Settlement Class List, including all United States residents whose personal information was potentially compromised in the ABC Legal Services incident discovered in November 2024 and people who received notice. Exclusions include the presiding judges and their direct families, ABC and related entities, and valid opt-outs.
- Proof required: No documentation is required for the pro-rata cash payment. Reasonable non-self-prepared documentation is required for out-of-pocket losses. A valid timely claim is required for every benefit.
